Nine members and three guests gathered at Avanti's Italian Restaurant in Normal, Illinois for fun, fellowship and fantastic food on April 14, 2006. Members from the Chicago, Joliet, St. Louis, and Bloomington areas attended along with a member from Texas.
Child Support In Illinois President Dawn Vlaicevic and Vice President Teri Moncelle Colglazier met with John Cieslik, Director of Economic Development and Bob Kogut, Deputy Director Divison of Economic Opportunity for Judy Baar Topinka's office on July 27, 2006 to discuss the issues surrounding child support enforcement in Illinois and the goals CSII has in working with the State of Illinois to alleviate some of these issues.
Over 130 people stopped and read the information we provided on Illinois child support statistics and our group deadbeats. Several custodial parents received information on how they could obtain help with their child support enforcement efforts and many stopped to share their stories.
